    Jerry and Sarah have been married for seven years. They wanted to experience some excitement and fun before they made up their minds to have a family and so they purposely created an extremely exciting social life.

    The key problem, however, is that very nearly everything they do to have fun has something to do with drinking. For example, all of the happy hours, sporting events, parties with friends, family get-togethers, and dinner engagements they attend somehow involve drinking.

    Sarah and Jerry Begin to Observe Some Noticeable Alcohol Related Problems That Come From Their Irresponsible Drinking

    If they were casual drinkers, this wouldn’t be a big issue. Because they drink in an abusive manner, however, they are beginning to see some obvious alcohol-related problems in their lives.

    As an illustration, just a few weeks ago Jerry was placed in custody for a second DUI and has been taking time off from work due to alcohol-related health issues. Moreover, Jerry’s last three performance reviews at his place of employment have been less than commendable and he has begun to forget what he says or does the times that he drinks. Lastly, Jerry has been going through sleep-related problems and his family has begun to agonize over his drinking activities.

    Sarah, on the other hand, has been feeling disheartened about life in general and to cope with this, she has been drinking more often than any time in the past two years. In addition, Sarah has been experiencing more than a few painful migraines and suffering from severe hangovers because of her drinking. Lastly, Sarah has been feeling substantially less active when she awakens, she has been getting to work late at least every other day, and she has been getting some well-deserved criticism from her friends, coworkers, relatives, and family members about her hazardous drinking.

    Watching the TV and Inadvertently Discovering An Interesting Program About the Signs of Alcoholism

    One Friday evening while watching TV, Sarah and Jerry accidently found a remarkable documentary about the signs of alcoholism.

    This television special was a real surprise to Jerry and Sarah because more than a few of the alcoholism signs that were listed looked like they were unwaveringly related to many of the alcohol-related drinking problems Jerry and Sarah had been going through.

    A Candid Dialogue About Drinking Activities Reveals Alcohol Related Employment, Financial, Relationship, Health, and Legal Problems

    After watching the television program, Sarah and Jerry made up their minds to have a forthright talk about their drinking situation. They both were in agreement that most, if not all, of their social activities somehow involved drinking, that they were drinking in an excessive manner, and that as a married couple, they were starting to observe alcohol related employment, health, relationship, financial, and legal problems for the first time in their lives.

    With thoughts of the television program still running through her mind, Sarah asked Jerry if some of the alcohol dependency signs they have been exhibiting could mean that they are alcoholic or conceivably becoming alcohol dependent. Jerry didn’t know the answer to Sarah’s question and so he suggested that they make an appointment with one of the doctors at the local alcohol rehab center to find out more about the gravity of their drinking problems.

    Tackling Your Drinking Problems May Reduce Your Nervousness and Give You Some Peace of Mind

    Paradoxically, even though their drinking situation hadn’t yet changed, it was noticeable that Sarah and Jerry were at least attending to their drinking problems, they were willing to find out more about their drinking circumstances, and they were interested in learning how they could substantially decrease or eliminate the alcohol-related issues that had started to deteriorate.

    When Sarah and Jerry went to bed that evening, they determined that the next morning, Jerry would call and schedule an appointment for both of them at the drug and alcohol abuse treatment facility located in the next town. After they made a promise to one another that they would do whatever it takes to prevail over the alcohol-related difficulties that had developed in their lives, they in point of fact had the most revitalizing night’s sleep they could bring to mind in the last seven months.

    Just before she fell asleep, Sarah turned to Jerry and commented how painless it is to lower one’s nervousness and truly experience some serenity by addressing one’s problems with personal integrity and making a decision to do something positive about them.
